Admin HistoryThe Cheltenham General Post Office was established under the authority of the Crown in 1862 and situated in Clarence Street. On 18 December 1876 the Post Office moved into a building that had previously been occupied by the Imperial Club on the Promenade [see D8242/CO/6/1]. In 1987 this building closed and the post office moved to new premises in High Street.
