Admin History | The Electrical Association for Women was a "voluntary and independent" body founded in 1924 to show women members "how to deal with the immense force of electricity, thus encouraging the safer and more efficient use of appliances" [see D5562/1]. It was disbanded in December 1986 and its records deposited in the Institution of Electrical Engineers. The deposit included minute books from various branches which have now been transferred to the relevant local repositories. The Dursley and district branch minutes form a complete series from its inaugural meeting to closure in 1984. |
