The collection comprises two main groups of papers: the files and drawings relating to Paterson's surveyorship and private practice on the one hand, and the results of a lifelong interest in photography on the other. The collection contains upwards of 100,000 photographs, including 16,500 colour slides
Admin HistoryRobert Wallace Paterson (1910-1979) studied at the Birmingham School of Architecture, 1929-34, and was appointed Diocesan Surveyor for the Diocese of Gloucester in 1950. He also had a private architectural practice
