Admin HistoryThe Association was founded in 1982 after the local radio station Severn Sound held a choir contest. The first concert was at Cheltenham Town Hall on 21 June 1982, and the next was at Hereford Cathedral for the Salute to the Task Force on 27 November 1982. The Association's first meeting was held in Highnam, and the two founder choirs (Churchdown Male Voice Choir and Cotswold Male Voice Choir) were still in existence at the time of deposit [ex inf the depositor]
